Tibar Beach Retreat is a small boutique resort on a hilltop in the coastal hills above Tibar Bay, about 30 minutes’ drive west of central Dili, in Liquiçá municipality. It has individual bungalows (eight, according to older listings), a restaurant called Ximangane, and an events room, with views over the bay.
The retreat’s website no longer works and it is not listed on the official tourism site. Its Facebook page now goes by “Tibar Beach Retreat - Ximangane Restaurant”, so the restaurant may be running even if rooms are not. Call or message before you go.
