The Piscina de Baucau is a place to visit, not a business or tour operator: a large public swimming pool in Baucau Old Town, fed by a clear natural spring and set in gardens with tennis courts.
Visiting
- Where: Baucau Old Town, just below the Pousada de Baucau, which owns the pool.
- Entry: a small fee (Wikivoyage lists 50 cents). The official tourism site does not publish the price or opening hours, so check locally.
- When: Wikivoyage reports it is closed on Mondays and Thursdays, when the pool is drained and refilled.
- Why go: saltwater crocodiles are found at beaches near Baucau, such as Watabo, so the pool is a safer place for a swim.
