Working in partnership, USAID’s Tourism For All Project, Heineken Timor S.A., Telkomcel and the Directorate General of Tourism have developed GoTimor — a new travel app designed to make exploring Timor-Leste easier for locals, expatriates and visitors alike.
What Is GoTimor?
GoTimor is a free mobile application showcasing the many experiences Timor-Leste has to offer. Through a single portal, users can plan trips and outings with access to:
- Google Maps integration
- A customer rating system
- The ability to share plans with friends and family via social media
- Listings for businesses, events and special offers
The app also provides a valuable marketing channel for smaller businesses that lack the budget for print advertising or brochures.
Free for Users and Businesses
GoTimor is free to download and free for businesses to list their services. For the next year, Telkomcel is managing the app and collating content, with listings currently focused primarily on Dili businesses.
