In July 2012 the Visit East Timor project started.

In order to gather all the information that was spread over the internet along with all the one that was missing about tourism in East Timor, a group of people started this website.

And several sites about Timor were appearing… And several websites about Timor were disappearing… And we’re talking about private websites and government sites. During these 7 years, we have seen a lot of experience fail and we continue here as the # 1 tourism site in East Timor.

We are immensely proud of this small team of volunteers that every day tries to bring you more and more information about this amazing paradise called Timor.

Today, the company that always supported us at the level of web design and hosting for our site took another step forward and launched a service called “montras digitais” (digital signage) in Portugal.

It is with great honor and pleasure that we want to thank all they have always done for us and all the support they have given us.
