The Government of Timor-Leste has approved a triangular cooperation agreement with Portugal and Argentina for the continuation of the program “Office of Journalists” in support of the Timorese media sector.



The protocol, approved by the Council of Ministers, provides for the collaboration of the Secretary of State for Timorese Social Communication, Camões, Institute for Cooperation and Language, I. P. de Portugal and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Argentina.

According to the Government, this is a protocol that “aims to implement the Project ‘Language Office for Journalists’, with the aim of training national media professionals in a more technical component, through the sharing of knowledge by Argentine professionals “.

“The training will have as beneficiaries national journalists of radio, television and written press, press advisors and professionals of the sector of the social communication”, can read in a note released by the Executive.



The agreement will be signed by the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Merício Juvinal dos Reis ‘Akara’.
